Ametrine pictured here is 6.15 cts. and measures 14.5 x 9.0 mm.
Several concave facets were placed on the pavilion side causing it to light up very nicely. The even division of purple and gold in these stones is very eye catching. I have a few more of these yet to cut in the parcel from New Era Gems ( Steve Ulatowski and Robert Ulatowski )
Pictured are two Ametrines just finished. The first is 4.7 cts and is 13.0 x 7.8 mm.
The second is 9.49 cts. and is 15.7 x 10.5 mm.
Both have concave facets cut into the pavilion side of the stone to make them more visually interesting than if they had been cut with flat facets. Rough material was obtained from Steve Ulatowski of New Era Gems.
Finally got around to posting another batch of new gems on my gems website.
Other activities like keeping up with the garden have kept me from having time with the faceting machine lately.
Just added ten more stones to the gallery.
